Google updated pagerank today

All of my other sites which are in Blogroll are updated except for this main one, long lasting question of “When google is updating the pagerank” quest came to an end today.

The pagerank didn’t happen exactly on main domain Makku but on the inner pages (rank ranges from 3 - 5). This site is the best example the content got the pagerank and not the popularity of the site.

cool - so out of curiosity, how long does it take to update?
I noticed your site was started in late October - does it really take this long to generate a page rank?

    Hi Ben,

AFAIK Google updates the pagerank every quarter. And these page rank reflects the rank that was 3 months back for the site. By default google assigns 0 for a new site and then based on the links, content and popularity their algorithm tracks and stores various information about the site and updates at the end of the every quarter. Hope this helps.

    Hi,

I started a new site in Nov, 2007 and paid to have a site called ineedhits.com to optimize and submit my site to Google. They said that the process was done but here it is January, 2007 and I have not yet seen my page ranked by Google. I have a Google tool bar on top of the browser on my computer and it.

Do this mean that Google has not got to my site yet and that i might have to wait until March, 2007. Is there any way that I can find out what’s happening?

    Thank you,

    Carol

By the way ineedhits.com had a Premium Submit and it said that my site was guaranteed to be submitted and crawled in Google within 7 days. But I still don’t see my rank.

    Hi Carol,

Google had crawled your site successfully, if I search for ineedhits in google - I get to see your site listed first. I am not sure whether that premium submit service promised for crawling in google or for pagerank.

IMO, no can promise the exact pagerank or to get your site listed for a very specific keyword, we can try though. As I mentioned in my earlier articles there are various factors involved in ranking as well pagerank in google.

Let me know if I could be of some help.

    Regards,
    Shiva

Good tips, I recommend you read these reviews to know the best directories to submit your blog: http://blog-dir.blogspot.com/
Many Blog Directories will link back to your blogs but others are only trying to increase their own PR (page rank)by requesting inbound links and they don’t link back!

Carol, it takes ages before a website gets a pagerank. Anyway, even when you get it, if it is low, you will get a limited number of visitors. The best way to solve this problem is to wait tike, create new pages and look for links from other sites. You can also use keywords not too popular to avoid a competition you cannot stand.

    Carol,

I believe there has been a misunderstanding regarding the services you purchased from ineedhits.

ineedhits provides a submission service called G-Boost that will get your website listed on Google within 7 days - guaranteed, and can help improve your search engine ranking.

PageRank is determined by a number of factors - time, the number if inbound links your site has (quality back-links) and the popularity of your website.

Don’t be disappointed if your efforts do not yield immediate results - continue with your search engine marketing and you should see changes over time.

    Good luck :)
