Removed the keyphrases - rather providing that as text - as webspiders think that it is a spam - due to common closed paced words. For september 2007 PageRank 0 keywords you can visit here

The number of spams that I have to control has increased and the awstats reports for my website shows more unidentified crawlers and my email is flooded with more spams. And I am not grunting about it, it does prove oneway, if not exponentially - but the site is growing.

More number of adult, medicine, financial (loans), download videos, and just junks - all sorts of junkyjunk related spams. Some of them are very smart spams - general messages on comments, “good web styile (style)”, “great post”, “you have a nice blog going”, “I found very useful information - let me know if I could link yor (your) site” and more. These are all not one time messages and as a visitor just be careful and check your blog comments as well - I guess you know what I am talking, don’t you?.

Even in this site, you can check the comments and find that not many people use their names rather use the comment to market their website with seo keywords (I am aware and I am okay so far and I myself had given that clue (remember, these were used to spamdex Inktomi through guestbooks long back and lots of their site got banned too later), but if its used too much it becomes a blackhat technique :)).

Unidentified robots/crawlers and these spams are all inter-connected. They mostly visit to gather email address and then their primary job is to send junk out to email address and/or to reply to comments in an automated process. Though this topic may not directly related to Identity theft, will talk about that too in the next post - and that if I could think - its 1:30am EST now. Good night!

Edited on Aug 6th: Removed certain black-listed words from this post. It is tiring to check on every single detail, but as how a doc had to be careful on his patient - same applies to any business one does. I totally forgot about the concept of black listed words - as how can I not mention when trying to write about spam? But then search engines punish it - and that is a proof that there is a long way to go for optimizing search engines itself!

1. Site goes down frequently. (Googlebot/webcrawler/spider couldn’t crawl your site)

2. Including new outbound links (when inbound is less)

3. Folder restructuring (this will hurt initially) and if the new structure has multiple sub folders to  post then the chances of pagerank will be less.

4. Keyword stuffing (this will end-up in site getting banned)

5. Multiple languages getting displayed in same post (I have to check on this though)

6. Nested table structure.

7. Duplicate content from other sites or duplicate domains with same content.

8. Key sites that is linking to your site earlier, removes your url.

9. Black-hat techniques.

10. Increased content which is way too huge to load on a particular page.

Beware of job ads such as SEO Analysts, SEO Manager, Director of Search Engine Marketing Manager etc., in any of popular websites. Many start-up companies just post ads to grab attention of real SEO’s as well big employers. It is an easy advertisement for small SEO companies. I did talked with couple of companies which posted in job sites and when I called up - they mentioned there will be no recruitment or no job vacancies in near future. And they keep posting the same job ads weekly once.

Few SEO companies, write on their own blog site that there are plenty of opening, don’t fall for it.

I am talking about few companies that does this. There are lot of legitimate companies that has real SEO jobs, the best way to find them out is to follow the below.

1) Look for which employer is posting that advertisement.
2) Do you see the same job requirement in all states (posted multiple times) and company confidential? - don’t waste time.
3) Google yourself for seo/sem jobs, then visit the company’s website directly. Look for career section and then apply.
4) Sign up in Linked In
5) Search for jobs in Blog Search as well, people from organization might write about job openings in their personal blog.

Updated the title again with mix of old and new (lengthy one though). Check this earlier post PageRank 0 site title changed on Jun 28th, doing this definitely affected the ranking (listing rank) in search results for few major key word combinations.

I am bringing it back with my old title, appending with SEO and SEM as well. Many people might wonder whether I am writing about how to spam or what? - but if you go through the site completely you would understand what is the purpose of this site and why I had been doing all these.

Few people who had commented here in this site, has used the tips that I had given. But some of them had tried to spam, using referrals to get money, etc., I will get back to the consulting again, but this time only to those who ask legitimate questions and who bother to mention their names. I will skip requests for example - which just says “hey, improve my site” - now when you cannot take much time to request exactly for what you are looking for - I don’t have much choice other than skipping it.

I have been evaluating the sites based on the dates it was requested, but if you are regular visitor who is waiting for your website to be evaluated, write me. I would rather spend time on a regular visitor rather than someone posts for request and moves on. So write to me and I will evaluate in loyalty of visitor rather than the order of request.

Money, Money and more Money.

Everyone runs and works for money. Once upon a time there was no remote for the television, no microwave, no elevators and no beers. As time goes, people create and then adapt themselves to new things. Your company by this time should be sueing an SEO..err..using an SEO to promote your online business. So you always have this question, how to improve my business online?

There are like billions of internet users, atleast millions of users for whatever business domain that you have or you are involved.

In this, How many percentage are visiting your website?
How many of them use your services?
What is your online sales? Is your site reachable by these potential customers through organic searching/ppc/ad links?, What is the strategy of your online compaign?

Customers everyday search for things like “latest electronic gadgets”, “wordpress themes”, “buy cycle”, “cheap and affordable cars”, “women clothing”, “wedding diamonds”, “you pick farms”, “internal medicine doctor”, “how adsense works” and million other things. Now the question that you have to ask yourself is, where is my website? what keywords would I like my website to be visible online, what are the competition that I have for my business and how an SEO/SEM Consultant will help me achieve that.

I am not kidding, you can make millions - atleast to start with a lots of thousands, if you already have a established business - your sales growth will go high - once you start marketing online properly!

Now, note that in 5 years span the online sales went from 4% to 32.1%. If they can, don’t you think you can do the same? Also 24 million visitors a month - how many visitors your website is getting? I understand that online marketing alone is not sufficient and you need to establish a brand value and my question is how hard are you working on that? Are you there yet with your best?

Do you want another example, Blockbuster is closing few of its stores and trying to promote its online rental to the best possible. There are lots of stories of how corporate companies work to get an online presence and money out of it - I know how much they can spend or are spending already - with right SEO consultants/SEO company you can achieve the same being a growing small company.

I have to warn you here, it is not a month work or 3 month work, it is an ongoing effort - one to improve and second important thing is to retain what gained. You should be aware of SEO companies that promises 3 months work and all is done, reason is simple, if they promise you that your business will boom like anything, why cannot the same SEO company start their own and achieve using their SEO/SEM skills? Promoting is possible, business improving rapidly is possible - but long term (maybe commission basis) - short term ends the same way - short term.

For some reason - msn search algorithm is not listing Pagerank0.com for major keywords (such as pagerank) and they have their own right reasons.

Did some reading online, after a very long time started using msn search.

I am going to keep an eye on google, but for another sometime - the focus is going to be on msn.

http://www.robotstxt.org/ is a good site to read about how bot application (spiders, crawlers) work, also you can check my previouis post What is a webcrawler?. I updated some php files for my site - so that the title is not completely dynamic everytime - rather the post title becomes the title of the page. And the META for description:content changes dynamically - random words are appended along with the title and that becomes the content for meta description.

Today, I changed the title from “PageRank Prediction and Improve web site Page Rank 0-10″ to “Pagerank, SEO and SEM made simple”

Well, I could see the impact right away in few minutes - for the word “pagerank” search my site went from 1st page to 2nd page in google.

Also, there is few modification that I had done on titles on all other pages (posts) as well. Blog post title will be the title along with random texts, if you refresh any posts after clicking them - you can notice that.

This way we all will get to know, including me - whether changing the Title affects ranking (not PR)? whether dynamic title helps the site?

I have to start doing this in order to focus on multiple combination of various keywords that I wanted pagerank0.com to be listed in search engines. And, it is just a beginning..

Note after few hours: Yahoo wins the race in updating their servers for my site with new title, not google - not msn.

update again on 07/07/07: Back to old title.

I was away on vacation and didn’t exactly know at what date the pagerank got updated for my site. This is great, the page rank is 5 as predicted by the iwebtool site.

Last month or so some of my other websites got updated and I thought it is going to take another 3 months for the next update to occur. So it is not true now that google updates its pagerank quarterly once, they do or they have started updating the sites frequently. My other site Average Joe’s pagerank is 6 now  (5 as of july 31st).

I am going to get into the google algorithm and now that I had got the green bar - I am going to play around more.

So from October PageRank, this site had come now to pagerank of five.
