Again I checked after quite a bit of work on the site to predict its future page rank.

iwebtool.com/pagerank_prediction, this is the site I have tried again and below is the screenshot for it, they have predicted pagerank as 5 (4.5) with 1558 backlinks..with 81.7% accuracy. Check out this previous post Future Pagerank

False or spoofed PageRank

While the PR shown in the Toolbar is considered to be accurate (at the time of publication by Google) for most sites, it must be noted that this value is also easily manipulated. A current flaw is that any low PageRank page that is redirected, via a 302 server header or a “Refresh” meta tag, to a high PR page causes the lower PR page to acquire the PR of the destination page. In theory a new, PR0 page with no incoming links can be redirected to the Google home page - which is a PR 10 - and by the next PageRank update the PR of the new page will be upgraded to a PR10. This is called spoofing and is a known failing or bug in the system. Any page’s PR can be spoofed to a higher or lower number of the webmaster’s choice and only Google has access to the real PR of the page. Spoofing is generally detected by running a Google search for a URL with questionable PR, as the results will display the URL of an entirely different site (the one redirected to) in its results.

Google’s home page is often considered to be automatically rated a 10/10 by the Google Toolbar’s PageRank feature, but its PageRank has at times shown a surprising result of only 8/10.

It is too tempting to try it though for pagerank 0, but am not going to do that.

Today created a sitemap (url list) in an xml format and submitted to google site. Below is the xml format.

After quite an analysis these are the current rates for which you can place your site links in other popular sites. Say for example, if Blog Headers page rank is 7 and you want to place your link over there it would cost you from $30-800, especially if your site is also related to blog /wordpress themes it might cost more.

There are various websites where you can purchase or even do free link exchange programs. Below are rough estimates on how much websites are spending to buy links. Again, these are all based on various factors on the number of traffic coming in for that website, popularity and where they place your  link (homepage or inside pages).

Do not fall prey for sites that promises you that they will get you a higher pagerank quickly,  check their pagerank first, there are hundreds of text-ad link sellers who promises that your site traffic will boost tremendously in no time. How far the title of this post and content varies - the same way is their logic, if they mention a timeline/assurance.

 It does work to an extent, maybe to get you some browny points in pagerank, Websites try to sponsor blog themes (pagerank0 did), linkbacks and some of them buy text-links from site that have greater pagerank. They might pay somewhere between $9 - $4500 for a month based on the site where their link will be placed. I will discuss on the rough estimates in my next post. If you place your site in an appropriate-similar site of that to yours, there is a good chance your pagerank will also increase.

Google doesn’t sell, but when a high ranking site links to a normal site it treats them with good pagerank. Many people question me why I am spending time on the pagerank rather than focusing on top listing in google. AFAIK, I believe that Google uses the PR as one of the key measure when listing a site for a specific keyword/phrase.

Most users stopped using the word search and started saying google/googling etc., to find something, I concur that, eventhough the algorithm is written by many professionals - still it is not a human that does the search, it is the GoogleBot application. If the above is totally true, try this

Updated 07/13: The results are not going to the same url now, this could be due to re-indexing.

Nothing is free in this world, atleast in the business world. To market our site well, we started creating wordpress themes as our first step. You have to provide constant service to the community in order to expect some results back. Blog is one of the current buzz for all people at this point and it is the right time for us also to serve them.

Update on 03/03/2008:
I gave away the site bgthemes.com and started providing website headers at a different site.

Couple of weeks, I had been checking on some of the sites where they predict pagerank.

iwebtool.com/pagerank_prediction, this is the site I have tried mine and below is the screenshot for it, they have predicted pagerank as 3 (3.3) with 672 backlinks..hmm..And some other sites have mentioned as 0, so lets see how things goes.

Updated on 03/03/2008: The pagerank went down from 5 to 4 (this happened few months back) - the reason that I could think is less new content, the reason is I was focusing on a other new website Website Headers and the ratio of inbound links to pagerank0.com got decreased.

I tried with “how to improve pagerank” in google today and got listed as 16th link, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is key for a site to improve SERP (Search engine results page) as well overall PR of a website. This can be achieved from the validating html pages, to provide alternate text (tooltip) for your images, using appropriate keywords, page name, quality inbound and outbound links.

And if you click on the screenshot you will see that it shows http://www.pagerank0.com/?p=13

and this is crawled couple of days back. Because yesterday, the permalinks of pagerank 0 (zero) dot com is updated to have title as page name than the querystrings!

For “pagerank prediction” search the site is listed as 54th link. This could vary because of different google data centers.

Today, changed the title of the site from “PageRank 0″ to “PageRank Prediction and Improve web site Page Rank 0-10″.

First of all, this sites description (META Tags) and keywords are changed, you can right click on this page and view page source to check it.

Also the title of a site plays a huge role in helping the sites to track right away, if the title of this site is “Welcome to my site” and eventhough the content is worth it, the title should also reflect what the site is all about and good choice of words had to be taken.

How one would want to search for their site in any search engine?

And people who are keen will look for what will be their future page rank prediction?

As I cannot squeeze more in title, I formed this as of now.  

But in the content, we have to focus more on synonyms, people might search for site rank, url rank, webpage rank, etc., (now my content does have the different words, eh?)
